- A wellthought out productI recently purchased the Panasonic Cordless Answering System, Model No. kx-tg1031. I needed a phone that wouldn't interfere with my work on my laptop. This phone set does almost all the things I needed from a phone--ease of use, for example: the operating instructions were clear, much easier to follow than any other cordless phone I've ever owned--all one of them, a phone I bought at Radio Shack. - 3 for one not always betterthis set of 3 handsets sounds like a great deal but the handsets have very low volume even at max and they are easily interfered with (source unknown) so that you loose the ringing on some but not all and the sound while speaking flucuates during the conversation. The feature that was a surprise plus was that once the answering machine picks up the call you can hear whose calling from any handset location. - Don't use with MagicJackI spent three hours with MagicJack trying to get the caller id for this phone to work. I later called Panasonic and they advised that this feature does not work with MagicJack. I replace the phone with a Motorola phone and the caller id worked fine. Panasonic also advised that this is a problem with many of their phones. Don't buy if you are using MagicJack.
